Green Tara is a Startup project it is an online marketplace and community for sustainable living and wellness. It will offer cruelty-free ethically produced products as well as training, courses and a platform for interaction on these matters.
Green Tara will also tap into Indian tribal communities, who at present are essentially excluded from access to buyers. The Korku tribe in Central India alone uses 40 medicinal herbs, addressing conditions from asthma to obesity.
Wellness, both mental and physical is a notion often forgotten today. Indigenous medicine and spiritual practices are the true wealth of India and only a very small share of these (largely in the form of yoga) is well known. Green Tara will enable access to these, whether it is forest bathing, meditation practices from the Baul community in West Bengal or Buddhist mindfulness exercises from Sikkim.
I and my two best friends Sid & Nan came up with this concept.
I build a platform both web app and a mobile phone app to support the cause. Will be available soon on play store.
Bookworm- The book loft, is a website to compare book prices online. The user can enter the name of a book and can compare it’s prices online from different websites. Bookworm uses ISBN code of books to get their prizes from the different online seller.
I’m a Book lover and I always used to search for books at different websites to find the cheapest seller. The idea of such an application strolled into my head when I was searching for a book called “The miracle of mindfulness“, and was searching for the cheapest version and that’s when I thought to make this task a little bit easy, so developed this naive solution.
I have used HTML, CSS, JS and have deployed it using Firebase.
The idea behind Statofic Club was to create an online platform for Statisticians, data scientist, mathematicians & coders to collaborate on the research work (publications, research projects, tools, articles related to the field) they are doing and to be updated about the fields in different languages. I got this motivation through one of my Japanese friend who faced an immense problem with the English language, so I thought to create an online open source web platform which could later be used as a repository.
I used CSS, JS, HTML & Firebase API for backend. The interface was built keeping in mind the user’s experience for simple submission and tagging of their research work. A search interface is given for users to have an edge over filtering according to their requirements.
This was my Master’s thesis at IISc which focussed on developing the methodology to capture the unsystematic risk of a security during an Event in both Frequentist and Bayesian paradigm of statistics.
